Would you like to find out what the audience thinks about the topic under discussion? The speaker can ask the participants a question in the form of a short poll and display the results on screen during the presentation. It’s a simple way to get the audience to play an active part in the presentation.
You prepare the questions in the control panel as a poll assigned to a specific item on the agenda. You can choose from single-choice and multiple-choice questions, rating scales and open-ended questions. You set the time period during which the poll is available, and when you publish it, you can notify participants via a push notification. Participants respond via the app, on the website or by scanning the poll’s QR code.
You present the results via a separate link, which you open on a computer connected to a projector. Responses appear as a bar chart (horizontal or vertical), a list of open-ended responses or a word cloud. You can customise the colours to match the event’s branding, choose a light or dark theme, and highlight the leading response. The presenter can adjust some settings live, without leaving the screen.
The speaker can view the results of polls relating to their talks within the app, whilst the organiser downloads a summary report and individual responses after the event.
We cover questions in the other direction – from the audience to the speaker – in the article ‘Questions for Speakers’.
